Bad installations 5

1) No electrical isolator installed but worse than that the way the pipework has been installed and the brickwork hole not filled in rain water will run down the pipework and into the building.

2) It’s good to see the wall penetration has been filled but with a lot of expanding foam due to an oversized hole being made and the excess has not been removed. The quality of the installation between the large unit and the other two is noticeable.

3) The installer obviously didn’t have a pipe joiner so has used insulation tape. We were called out to a water leak and this was the source.

4-6) Insulation is missing on the pipework, when this is missing condensation can form on the pipes and drop onto the ceiling. This is invariably the reason for brown stains on ceilings near air conditioning units.
